404 Day Kicks Off in NPU-T
Today, we celebrate April 4th—known across the city as “404 Day”—a time to honor the energy, creativity, and resilience that make Atlanta one of the most dynamic cities in the world. Rooted in Atlanta’s original area code, 404 Day has become an annual celebration of local culture, entrepreneurship, and community pride. From music and food to art and advocacy, this day highlights the people and organizations shaping the future of the city.
Among those leaders is Luretia “Dany” Craig, an outstanding advocate for community empowerment and inclusive growth. Dany serves as the President of the Ashview Heights Neighborhood Association, the Zoning Chair of NPU-T, and a member of the Atlanta Commission on Women. She’s also a local commercial real estate broker. She has long been a dedicated steward of Atlanta neighborhoods and a vocal supporter of equity-focused development.
Last night, Dany represented the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) as a stakeholder at the 404 Day Scholarship Gala held at Monday Night Garage. The gala was a beautiful gathering of changemakers, philanthropists, and leaders united in support of educational opportunities and youth advancement across Atlanta.
RICE plays a critical role in Atlanta’s innovation landscape. As the largest center in the U.S. dedicated to Black entrepreneurs, RICE serves as an engine for economic mobility, providing vital resources, mentorship, and space for small business owners to scale and succeed. Inspired by the legacy of business titan Herman J. Russell, the center is committed to building an ecosystem where Black-owned businesses can thrive, create jobs, and contribute to generational wealth in historically underserved communities.
Dany’s presence at the gala was not just symbolic—it was a reflection of her deep commitment to the values of equity, progress, and community connection that 404 Day represents. Whether she’s helping guide zoning decisions in NPU-T, leading neighborhood initiatives in Ashview Heights, or advocating for women across Atlanta, Dany Craig stands as a true example of grassroots leadership in action.
Happy 404 Day to all—and here’s to continuing the work of building a stronger, more connected Atlanta for generations to come!
