This free Black History Month program, held on February 22, 2025, at Pittsburgh Yards in Atlanta, GA, invites participants of all ages to join in a day of movement, music, and fellowship as we ensure that Black dance recipes get passed down from one generation to the next!
Through a diverse lineup of interactive classes, performances, and social activities, Legacy In Motioncelebrates the rich legacy of Black dance traditions—from the grace and elegance of Chicago Steppin’to the latest youth-driven Tik Tok trends. These Black dance expressions, often overlooked and undervalued as art forms, are essential to strengthening bonds that span generations and nurturing the shared cultural heartbeat of the Black community.
